Pepperdine Law’s online Master of Legal Studies (MLS) program includes an optional concentration in dispute resolution or human resources; all dispute resolution courses are delivered through Pepperdine Law's Straus Institute, top-ranked for dispute resolution in the U.S. News & World Report 2019 law school rankings. No GRE or LSAT scores are required to apply, but applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. The online MLS program can be completed in as few as 16 months.

Concentrations

Customize your learning experience by selecting an optional concentration in human resources or dispute resolution. The Straus Institute at Pepperdine Law is top-ranked for dispute resolution by U.S. News & World Report.

Live Online Classes

The virtual campus combines live, face-to-face online classes; weekly self-paced course work; and in-person residencies for a truly interactive learning experience. Virtual classes are taught by the same faculty who teach on campus.

Program Highlights

  • The online Master of Legal Studies is designed to improve students' expertise and capacity to understand legal issues, manage legal questions and controversies, and interact with lawyers, lawmakers, and the legal system.
  • Students will attend two residencies on Pepperdine’s beautiful campus in Malibu, California, where they will apply their newly acquired knowledge and network with faculty and classmates.
  • Pepperdine Law is ranked 3rd in the country by the National Jurist for practical training. In the online Master of Legal Studies program, students practice their skills through virtual simulations in the online classroom and in-person projects during residencies.
